Errol E. (Smith) Mancini

WORCESTER – Errol E. (Smith) Mancini, 85, of Worcester, died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, Pascal A. Mancini, died in 2007. She leaves three children, Lynn Mancini of Worcester, Pamela Hoopes and her husband William of West Grove, PA, and Dale S. Mancini of Minneapolis, MN; a sister, Suzanne Simoncini of Florida; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Leonard R. Smith, Jr, a sister, Merle Stone, and a brother-in-law, John Simoncini.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of Leonard R. and Errol J. (Lawton) Smith.  She lived in Connecticut for many years.

Errol was a certified nursing assistant at Fairfield Nursing Home in Fairfield, CT.  She enjoyed playing cards with her sister, Sue Simoncini, volunteering and doing activities at the Sterling Senior Center and the West Boylston Senior Center.  In the West Boylston Senior Center she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.  She loved to travel with her husband and on Senior Center bus trips, and enjoyed going to the casinos.  She enjoyed all sorts of fashion so she was a “fashion maven”, and she loved having family gatherings as often as possible.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at Hope Cemetery, section 110, 119A Webster St, Worcester.  Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salmon VNA & Hospice, 37 Birch St, Milford, MA 01757.
