Ernest W. Carsner, 89, formerly of 766 Main St., died Wednesday in Park Terrace Nursing Home, 39 Queen St.
He leaves nephews and nieces in Sweden. He was born in Sweden, son of Johan A. and Sophia (Johanson) Carlson, and lived here 69 years.
Mr. Carsner was a maintenance worker for 30 years at the Central YMCA. He previously worked for the former Jansson Painting Co. Before then, he worked at the former Manning-Gibbs Shoe Co.
After cremation, graveside services will be held at a later date in New Swedish Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., is directing arrangements.
