WORCESTER – Eduardo Aviles Perez, 76, a long-time resident of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones including his cousin, Tony, his niece Grisell, and his nephews Guillo, Ariel, David, and Juan.

Eduardo was predeceased by his wife, Luz V. Aviles, who passed away in 2018.  He is survived by his two children, Eduardo “Junior” Aviles, and Mary Luz Aviles and her husband Robert Garcia; four grandchildren, Brenda, Jarelis, Samantha, and Eduardo Jancel; and siblings Gilberto, Edwin, Jorge, Manuel, Guillermo, Miguel Angel, Antonio, Maria, Sonia, Minerva, and Nancy.  He leaves behind generations of nieces and nephews and many extended family members.  Eduardo was born in Moca, Puerto Rico to Guillermo Aviles and Tomasa Perez, both deceased.

Eduardo was a self-employed construction worker.  He enjoyed playing dominoes, fixing cars, completing home repairs and spending time with his family. 

The funeral will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, with a 10:00 a.m. service at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster St, Worcester.  Calling hours are Sunday, August 20 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
