BOLTON, MA – Earle W. Smith, 81, of Bolton, died Saturday, March 4, 2023 at UMass Memorial Health Harrington, in Southbridge.

He leaves two sons, Earle W. Smith Jr and his wife Laura of Sutton, and Wayne John Smith and his wife Kelley of Millbury; a daughter, Tina Marie Tibbetts of New Ipswich, NH; two brothers, Patrick Smith of Worcester and Mike Smith of Maine , and a sister, Sharon Lamonda of Northbridge; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, especially Bob LaChapelle.  He also leaves his former wife, Gloria J. Bryand.  He was born in Bridgewater, Vermont, son of Clarence Patrick and Verna Lucille (Newton) Smith.

Earle worked at Ruby Electric.  He serviced and repaired electric motors.  He loved playing guitar, fishing, golf, and camping.  He was a member of the Crystal Springs Band.

The funeral will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.  Calling hours are 3:30 – 5:00 pm followed by prayers at 5:00 pm.  Burial will be private.
