Dorothea Denise (Smith) Logan

DURHAM, NC - Dorothea Denise “Necy” Smith-Logan of Worcester, MA died Thursday April 29, 2021 in Durham, North Carolina after a long illness.

She leaves behind daughters Iashia and Tacarra Logan of Los Angeles, CA and sons Devon and Erick Smith and stepson James Dudley of Worcester; longtime boyfriend Anthony Cox; brothers Howard Smith Jr. and Tony Smith; sisters Stephanie and Sherry Smith, Sean and Tiffany Bethea and Evangeline Doster; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother Dorothy Beatrice Johnston, father Howard Smith Sr. and brother Clinton Smith.

Necy was a warm, loving and extremely kind person. She gave and gave, and asked for nothing in return and for that, the world will be forever humbled by her kindness.

She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, friend, and queen. 

Calling hours will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. Burial will take place at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
