WORCESTER – Domingo Baez, 81, of Worcester, died Saturday, June 13, 2026 at home after an illness.

He leaves his children, Zenaida Baez of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, Juan Carlos Baez of New Jersey, Liza Harris and her husband Sean Harris of Leicester, Celinez Baez, Carlos Baez, Marcos Baez, and Luis Baez, all of Worcester, Sonia Hernandez of Worcester, Jose Rodriguez of R.I., Mayda Rodriguez of Oxford, Carlos Rodriguez of Florida; Hector Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez and Jessica Cruz, all of Worcester; his siblings, Carlos Ruben Baez of Southbridge, MA, Modesto Juan Baez of Fall River, MA , Angel Luis Baez, Sonia Vazquez, Luz Divina Cepeda, and Migdalia Baez, all of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Aileen Candelario Baez of Ohio, Anthony Ruiz Baez of Arizona, Luis Santiago Baez of Puerto Rico, Kadijah Marie Harris, Koran Timeco Harris of Leicester, Costello Nash, Shayla Baez, Miguel Baez, all of Worcester. and a great-grandchild, Dilan Ruiz of Arizona. He also leaves his girlfriend of 11 years Lydia Vega of Worcester, and his former wife Sharon Baez Garcia of Worcester, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his son, Jose Baez, his daughter Ana Rodriguez, his brothers, Hector Ramon Baez and Luis Americo Baez, and a sister, Juana Baez.  He was born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, son of the late Hermogenes Baez and Angela Baez.

Domingo was a floor manager at the former Big D Supermarket.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

A calling hour will be held 10:00 – 11:00 am on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
