David H. Smith

WORCESTER – David H. Smith, 57, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves a daughter, Stephanie L. Powers of Worcester; six brothers, Paul, Andy, Gary, Shawn, Willie, and James Smith; four sisters, Jean Butrym, Emma Smith, Kristen Powers and Cheryl Powers; four grandchildren, Tia Powers, Isayah Vega, Jaivien Vega, and Kamdyn Russell; his girlfriend, Pamela MacNevin; many nieces and nephews, and many good friends.  He was predeceased by a brother, Danny Wheeler. He was born in Worcester, son of Willie J. and Marion (Downer) Smith.

David worked in mobile park maintenance for the Department of Conservation & Recreation.   He loved to fish.  Music was his life.  He played many instruments and sang in his band, the T-Bone Blues Band.  He loved camping and the outdoors. He had a knack for making people smile and laugh. Everyone enjoyed his great sense of humor.
