Obituary

WORCESTER – Churman Etwaroo, 78, of Worcester, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Worcester after a brief illness.

He leaves a brother, Jaipersaud Etwaroo of Florida, and two nephews, Adam Etwaroo of Worcester and Jai Etwaroo of Baltimore, MD. He was born in East Berbice-Corentyne, Guyana, son of Mangru and Hinglajie (Seeratan) Etwaru. He graduated from London University with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and statistics and a bachelor’s in computer programming.

Churman was a teacher at Tain Govt. School and a former teacher at Corentyne High School and a former teacher at Berbie High School in Guyana.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 6, 2023 from 3-5 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. Burial will be private.
