WORCESTER – Christopher J. Drescher, 59, of Worcester, died Friday, July 12, 2024 at UMass Memorial – University Campus.
He leaves his wife of 25 years, Sherrill (Abraham) Drescher; a sister, Tara A Wilkes of Georgia, a brother, Mark W Drescher and his wife Ida of Hoosick Falls, NY, brothers-in-law William E Abraham and his wife Vanessa of Nashua, NH, Jeffrey M. Abraham and his wife Kristin of Holliston, and John (Jack) Woodruff of Bangor, ME, a sister-in-law Karen L. Mantha of Millbury, MA, his mother-in-law Leslie H. Mantha and her husband Paul of Millbury, his father Richard W. Drescher and his step-mom Virginia of Hoosick Falls, NY. Chris' love of his nieces and nephews brought him immense joy: Trenten, Cassie, Shane, and Sadie. He also had many cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Barbara A Linendoll, who passed away in 2011. He was born in Troy, New York and graduated from Lansingburgh High School, Troy. He also attended Siena College, Loudonville, NY for 3 years.
Chris was a motorcoach driver and later a transportation dispatcher, for Yankee Trails, NY, and Ritchie Bus Lines, MA. He enjoyed golf, candlepin bowling, watching NASCAR, and playing cribbage. Chris loved cruising with his wife as it was a true getaway from everyday life. They enjoyed ten cruises around the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii.
Funeral services will be private and in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
