Cathey L. (Monfette) LaMonda

NORTH BROOKFIELD – Cathey L. (Monfette) LaMonda, 70, of North Brookfield, died Thursday, September 14, 2023 at UMass Memorial – University Campus.

She leaves four children, Michelle L. DuBuque and her husband Richard of East Brookfield, Michael N. LaMonda and his wife Kimberly of Holbrook, Lynn A. LaMonda of Worcester, and Tammy Gustafson and her husband Zachary of Oxford; four siblings, Judy and her husband Glenn Spatola of Port Orchard, WA, Carol Corbett of Holden, Jean Risotti of North Brookfield, Patrick Monfette and his wife Deborah of North Brookfield, with whom she lived, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Monfette of Spencer and Nancy Monfette of Alton Bay, NH, her brother-in-law Richard LaMonda and his wife Brenda of Oxford; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers Alan Monfette and Michael Monfette, and a sister Janice Bergeron.  She was born in Newport, Vermont, daughter of the late Willis A. and Elizabeth C. (Page) Monfette.

Cathey was an accounts payable clerk at UMass Memorial.  She loved life. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a fun personality and enjoyed playing jokes on others as well as receiving them.  She was a huge Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching them play. In her spare time, she liked to play board games, work on puzzles and attend cookouts with her family.  She preferred going out to eat as opposed to cooking at home. Her favorite music was Country and she went to many concerts. She loved travelling and visited many states.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 - 6:30 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Avenue, Worcester, followed by prayers at 6:30.  Burial will be private.
