NORTHBOROUGH – Carole A. (Boutillette) Kolakowski, 93, formerly of Worcester, died Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Beaumont at Northborough.
Her husband of 25 years, Henry P. Kolakowski, died in 2003. She leaves four children, Heidi Bouchard of Thompson, CT, Donald Hoenig and his wife Maryann of Thompson, CT, Kimberly Rizk of Holden, and Tracy Kelly of Danielson, CT; five grandchildren, Jonathan Hoenig, Donald Hoenig, Olivia Janisch, Benjamin Rizk, and Nicholas Rizk, six great-grandchildren, Tripp Hoenig, Reed Hoenig, Brooke Hoenig, Jonathan Hoenig, Claire Hoenig, and Madelyn Janisch; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Janet Gauthier and Judith Brown. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Leo and Edna (Richford) Boutillette. She attended Tourtellotte High School in Thompson, CT and Worcester Girls Trade for seamstress and pattern making.
She lived 25 years with Henry in Holiday, Florida - a community she loved and considered her home.
Carole was a telecommunications manager at UMass Medical School, then at State Mutual Insurance. She and Henry loved to cruise and enjoyed over 50 of them. She enjoyed trips to the casino, Mahjong, and Thanksgiving with her family. She had an infectious sense of humor, she loved art and was a talented painter. She also loved animals.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, followed by a prayer service at 4:00 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or the Worcester Animal Rescue League (worcesterarl.org).
