WORCESTER – Bounmy Kenchanh, 82, of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester.


She leaves her husband, Sakorn Kenchanh, three children, Khampoun Kenchanh of Indiana and his fiancée Ketsany Khennavong of Laos, June Soundara of Worcester, and Kham Mike Kenchanh and his wife Deng of Indiana; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Alexa, Christine, Tiffany, Emily, Tyler and Katie; two great-grandsons, Theo and Tommy; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.  She was born in Vientiane, Laos, daughter of Souk Lenu.  She has lived here since 1979.


Bounmy worked as an assembler at a hardware manufacturer in Laos.  She loved Asian comedy shows and music.  She loved all things plaid, her favorite song “Eye of the Tiger”, and liked sweets, mangos and bananas.  She was very loving and had a quiet presence.


Bounmy’s funeral will be Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, followed by a procession to Rural Crematory, 180 Grove St, Worcester.
