GLENDALE, CA - Bernard C. "Bernie" Poulin, of Worcester, MA, died peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023 in Alhambra, CA, surrounded by his loving family after several years of having confusion and memory failure.
Bernie leaves his loving wife and partner of 35 years, Pamela (Fuqua) Poulin, his son, Billy Poulin, of Glendale, CA; four brothers and a sister: Denis, Lenny, Gerry, Jacqueline, and Marc; 4 aunts, nephews, nieces, and many cousins. Two brothers, Ernest and Norman, predeceased him. Bernie grew up in Worcester, MA, son of the late J. Clement Poulin and G. Isabelle (Allain) Poulin.
Bernie attended St. Joseph Apostolic (seminary) School (1962-1964) in Watertown, NY, then South High (1964-1965), and graduated at Commerce High (1966) in Worcester, MA.
Bernie enlisted in the US Army in 1968, and was trained at Fort Holabird, Dundalk, Maryland as a Military intelligence Corps Member, Grade E4 specialist. He returned to Worcester in 1970 and trained as a Locksmith apprentice at A L Purington, Worcester, MA. Bernie moved to Los Angeles and worked at Los Feliz Lock & Key from 1973 - 1974. Bernie soon after opened his own shop, Ambassador Lock & Key, in Los Angeles in 1975. Bernie transitioned his business to wholesale distribution to the locksmith industry and became CEO of LV Sales, Inc. (1988-present).
Bernie enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, boating, sailing, fishing, camping, time at the beach, playing poker, and volleyball matches at Griffith Park. He was known for his friendly, kind and generous nature.
Funeral services will be private. Local arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, MA.
