Bernadette A. (Amadi) Ihebom

WORCESTER – Bernadette A. (Amadi) Ihebom, 61, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at UMass Memorial – University Campus.

She leaves her husband of 34 years, Donatus Ihebom; three children, Eunice Ihebom of Worcester, Donatus Ihebom, Jr of Worcester, and Diane Ihebom, M.D. in training of Ohio; a sister, Agatha and her husband Mr. Michael Onyeneke of Nigeria; a sister-in-law Celestina Amadi of Nigeria and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Godwin Amadi and a sister, Mrs. Regina Chinyere Okereke. She was born in Eziukwu Aba, Nigeria, daughter of Benedict N. and Margaret M. (Okele) Amadi, and has lived here for 34 years.
 
Bernadette was a licensed practical nurse at Parsons Hill Nursing Home and worked there for a total of 33 years. 

She enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, spending time with her children, and watching reality television. 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Peter’s Church, 929 Main St, Worcester.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.  Calling hours are Friday, January 21 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
