Avery E. (Foss) Laprade

WORCESTER – Avery E. (Foss) Laprade, 87, of Worcester, died Friday, June 16, 2023 at St. Mary Health Center, 39 Queen St.

She leaves her children, Anita St Laurent and her husband Ronald of Worcester, David Kilgar of Worcester, and Christopher Kilgar and his wife Christine of Worcester; a brother, William Foss of Boylston, 12 grandchildren, Heather Davis and husband John Davis, Faythe St.Laurent and Paul McCarthy, Shawn St. Laurent and Colleen Distefano, Wendy McCullough and husband Josh McCullough, Tabitha St. Laurent and Nick Comptois, Jeffrey St.Laurent and Lindsey O'Rourke, Jolanda Lucier and husband Matt Lucier, Benjamin Ng and wife Melissa Ng, Cliff Kilgar, Anthony Rice, Michael Kilgar, Tyler Kilgar; 12 great-grandchildren, Erick St. Laurent, Xavier McCullough, Anthony McCullough, Tyler McCullough, Tiana McFadden, Alexus McFadden, Mealon Ceasar, Destinee Lucier, Madison Lucier, Brody Lucier, Jasmine Kilgar, and John Davis; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Kilgar-Ng, a sister, Carol Court, her former husband, Weldon Kilgar and her aunt Cora Orsted.  She was born in Amsterdam, NY, daughter of Wilbur and June (Millward) Foss.

Avery worked as a nurse at both Worcester City Hospital and The Oddfellows Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting, camping, gardening, and hiking. Avery loved the outdoors. She also loved attending her grandchildren’s’ games and performances.

Funeral services will be held privately at a later date and are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
