Aris Koulalis

WORCESTER – Aris Koulalis, 62, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Monday, July 22, 2024 while on vacation with his wife and friends in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Holley Jewell (Keyes) Koulalis, a son, Nikolas Koulalis of Worcester, a daughter, Alexis Rochon and her husband Stephen of Connecticut, two sisters, Varvara Butt of Woonsocket, RI and Vasiliki Kilikis of Worcester. He was Papou to three grandchildren: Lilly, Kim, and Stephen Jr.  Aris also leaves many nieces and nephews.  He was born in Athens, Greece, son of the late Efstratios and Anthoula (Menagatos) Koulalis and lived in Worcester since 1972.  He graduated from Doherty Memorial High School.

Aris owned and operated Autospa Car Repair in Warwick, RI.  He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

He enjoyed all Boston Sports teams, fishing, dancing, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  Aris enjoyed grilling, his High Noons, Michelob Ultras and was known to overcook most foods and ended up always burning his eggs. His sense of humor was one of his best qualities.

The funeral will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, with a 11:30 a.m. service in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Monday July 29 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Autism Alliance of Massachusetts https://autismalliance.org/
