Apostolia (Frantzis) Kyriakidou

WORCESTER – Apostolia (Frantzis) Kyriakidou, 96, of Worcester, died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital with her son Kyriakos holding her hand.

Her husband, Sarantis Kyriakidis, died in 2005.  She leaves a son, Kyriakos Kyriakidis of Worcester; a special friend Celeste Burke of Worcester, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 2 sons, Mavroudis "Mike" Kyriakidis in 2005 and Kyriakos Kyriakidis in 1957.

She was born in Alexadroupoli, Greece, daughter of Konstantinos and Giannoula Frantzis, and has lived here since 2012. Apostolia was a farmer in Greece.  She loved living off the land when she lived in Greece.

Calling hours are Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, followed by a prayer service at 6:30 at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers donations  may be mean to Abby’s House 52 High St., Worcester, MA  01609 . Burial will be in Serres, Greece.
