Anne Louise Meyer

WORCESTER - Anne Louise Meyer, age 70, of Pepperell and Marstons Mills, died peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025 after a heartbreaking struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Anne was born and raised in Worcester, graduated from Mount Holyoke College and briefly taught elementary school before plunging into the computer software field. Her awesome organizational skills and fierce attention to detail led to an amazingly successful career in product management. 

But her love for children of all ages was always her strongest passion.  Known and loved as “Grannie Annie”, she lavished care and affection on every child she encountered.  She truly had a wonderful life, bringing wisdom, love, and sunshine into every life she touched. 

She leaves her husband of 43 years, Jeffrey Hill; two brothers, Edwin R. Meyer and his wife Louise of Holden and John Meyer and his wife Kathleen of West Boylston; a sister, Mary Claire Kilburn and her husband Daniel of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Jane (McKenna) Meyer of South Carolina; her best friend Joan Rogers of Alford, MA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; six nephews and nieces, John Meyer, Danielle Remillard, Stephen Meyer, Amy Hoopis, Joseph Hennigan, and Kate Sears.  She was predeceased by a brother, Paul K. Meyer.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edwin P. and Claire L. (Hammond) Meyer.     

The memory of her love and laughter will remain forever with everyone who knew her and help to fill the enormous void she leaves behind. 

A calling hour will be held Tuesday, November 11, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, followed by a prayer service at 5:30.  Burial will be private.  Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund (https://curealz.org) so that someday no one will have to deal with this heartbreak.
