William F. Wrightson

WORCESTER – William F. “Bill” Wrightson, 67, of Worcester, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves a brother, Bud Wrightson of Worcester; two sisters, Barbara A. Garlick of Worcester and Nancy M. Olson of Auburn; his aunt, Constance “Connie” Wrightson of West Yarmouth; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late George F., Jr. and Doris E. (Looby) Wrightson.  He graduated from Doherty High School in 1968 and Merrimack College.

Bill was an administrative officer for the Upper Blackstone Water Pollution Abatement District.  He loved the Patriots and Red Sox and loved his dog Buddy.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.   Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St, Worcester, MA 01606 (https://worcesterarl.org/donate/)
