Vincent P. Wrobel, Jr.

April 28, 1925 ~ April 15, 2018 (age 92)

WORCESTER- Vincent P. Wrobel, Jr. USN-Ret., 92, passed away April 15, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of Anna (Rukstelis) Wrobel, predeceased in 1981.  He leaves two daughters, Marlene Matulis and her husband James of Worcester and Elizabeth Gallant of Worcester, a sister Josephine Adcock of Charlton, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a daughter, Judith Cocaine, a brother Francis Wrobel and sisters Jane Martin and Blanche Maciejowski. He was born in Chelsea, MA, son of Vincent P. Sr. and Camila (Maliszewska) Wrobel.

Vincent was a retired Executive Chef from the Chelsea Soldier's Home, Chelsea, MA. He was a U.S.Navy-Ret. Chief Petty Officer serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

He was stationed in Newport, RI.  Vincent served on 9 U.S. Navy Ships: U.S.S. YF335, U.S.S. Donner LSD20, U.S.S. Fremont APA44, U.S.S. Adirondack AGC15, U.S.S. Wasp CVS18, U.S.S. Willis A. Lee DL4, U.S.S. Vigil AGR12, U.S.S. Waccamaw AO-109, and the U.S.S. Yosemite AD19, along with the Seabees, Davisville, RI.

Full Military Honors were held privately under the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, MA.
