HOLDEN – Michael F. Carolan, 58, of Holden, died unexpectedly after a brief illness on Saturday, July 6, 2019.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Patricia D. (Shepard) Carolan; a son, John “Jack” Carolan of Holden; a daughter, Anna C. Carolan of Boston; many nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He also leaves his family cat, Oliver. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Carolan and a sister, Catherine “Cathy” Berthiaume. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Bernard F. Jr and Frances C. (Konopka) Carolan. He attended Quinsigamond Community College.
Michael was an equipment installer for Verizon for 32 years. He was a jack of all trade and could fix anything. He enjoyed working on vintage British cars, and always had a project that he was working on. He always enjoyed many outdoor activities with his family and exploring the New England coastline with his wife (and best friend) Patty. He was a wonderful father, husband, friend, brother, brother-in-law and son.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton St, Jefferson. There are no calling hours. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave is in care of arrangements.
