WORCESTER – Marcelle A. Stephen, 61, of Worcester, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at home.
Marcelle previously lived in Westchester County, New York and in Maryland. She made many friends in both places. Marcelle was a vibrant, loving, powerful, unique soul who loved God and loved people. She impressed us all with her bravery and courage as she dealt with the difficulties of her illnesses over the years. She was quite a “fireball”. Marcelle has gone on to continue her travels. She leaves her sisters Brenda Fox and her husband Sydney of New York, Donna Stephen and Barrington Braithwaite of Guyana, Janet Conway of New York, and her brother Vibert Stephen and his wife Dawn of New York. She also leaves her very good friends Catherine Altair Ferabolli of Worcester and Glen Bowers of Florida. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Hazel Stephen and her parents. She was born in Georgetown, Guyana, daughter of Ovid L. and Eloise (Conway) Stephen.
Marcelle was a sales associate at Macy’s Department Store in New York City and in Washington, DC. She has lived in Worcester for seven years. Marcelle would have liked to have thanked all the nurses and doctors at St. Vincent Hospital and all the home health aides in the Worcester County area for their compassion and care over the years.
