WORCESTER – Louise G. (Lavendier) Sullivan, 96, of Worcester, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Odd Fellows Home.
Her husband, Daniel C. Sullivan, was killed in action in World War II, 1945. Her son, Douglas D. “Daniel” Sullivan, died in 2016. She leaves her nieces and nephews: Marie, Ann, Patti, Suzanne and Joe, her close friends, Gerry and Ellen Martin of Worcester. She is predeceased by a sister, Pauline J. Taylor, a brother, Raymond T. Lavendier and his wife Emily Lavendier. She was born in Boston, daughter of Nelson M. and Florina (LaCroix) Lavendier. She graduated from North High School in Worcester and The Lindsey-Hopkins Hotel School in Miami, FL.
Louise was a cashier at several hotels in the area. She also worked 9 years at the Miami Beach Golden Gate Hotel, from which she retired. She was a member of the YWCA Nereids Swimming Club in Worcester, and All Saints Episcopal Church. She also worked for Catholic Charities as a clerk, retiring in 1993.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum 162 Webster St. Worcester. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, is in care of arrangements.
