SOUTHBRIDGE, MA - Krishna A Wagh, age 76, of Southbridge, formerly of Mumbai, India, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019.
Krishna A Wagh, nee Sarla H Bhende, was born to the late Haribhau and Krishna Bhende on January 22, 1943 in Mumbai, India. Krishna was the youngest of five children. She was a loving and kind soul that lived her life selflessly helping her family, friends, and all those around her.
After graduating from SNDT college, Krishna joined Atmaram in holy matrimony on December 14, 1969. She dedicated her life to supporting her husband, her children, and grandchildren; always with a smiling face and a calm disposition. She was a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews, and a supportive sister-in-law to the extended Wagh and Bhende family. She was an active member of the Sharadashram Bhajani Mandal (choir group), a generous contributor to many charitable causes, and well-known among her family & friends for her extraordinary cooking ability.
Krishna is preceded by her parents, Haribhau and Krishna Bhende; brothers, Shivaji and Shripad Bhende; sister, Sulabha Mohe; and son, Harshal Wagh. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 49 years, Atmaram (Suresh) Wagh; daughter, Leena (Shruja) Vaidya and her husband, Durgesh; grandson, Rohan Vaidya and granddaughter, Manaali Vaidya; sister, Asha Nadkarni; many nieces and nephews, and extended Wagh and Bhende family members.
Cremation services will be held in a private ceremony. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, is in care of arrangements.
