WORCESTER – James R. “Jim” Morris, 57, of Worcester, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at home after an illness.
He leaves a son, James R. Morris, Jr of Port Hardy, British Columbia; a daughter, Amanda Lynn Morris of Seattle, Washington; a brother, William S. “Willy” Morris III of Worcester; three sisters, Loretta L. Tharp and her husband James of Auburn, Maryann D. Craig and her husband Charles of Austin, Minnesota, and Margaret L. Kramer and her husband Howard of Cumberland, Maryland; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of the late William S. Morris II and Dorothy L. (Larocque) Morris and lived in Worcester most of his life.
Jim worked for FinishMaster for 10 years. He also worked in metals recycling. Jim served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He absolutely loved his children and all children. He was a Red Sox fan and loved music. Jim shared a special bond with his only brother Willy.
Calling hours will be held Monday, September 10, 2018 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
