WORCESTER – Elizabeth Nunes De Campos Silva, age 61, of Worcester, MA, passed away on Monday, April 2nd, 2018, in the care of her loving family after a year-long battle with cancer.
Born in Fernandopolis, São Paulo, Brazil, Elizabeth moved at a young age to São Paulo, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, and worked as an accountant for various prominent companies in the city. Elizabeth came to the United States in 2000 as a single mother, where she worked to provide a great new life for her children. During her time in America she worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant. As a health care aide she loved the work of providing for her patients over the years.
Always a warm and loving presence, Elizabeth was very involved in her religious congregations as a longtime member of the Worcester Pleasant Street Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Elizabeth is survived by her 3 children, Ernesto de Campos Silva of San Diego, CA, Aurelio de Campos Silva of Worcester, MA, and Deborah de Campos Silva of Berlin, CT. Elizabeth also leaves behind her brother Luiz Henrique and many first and second cousins living in Brazil.
A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 at 4 PM at the Worcester Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 2 Airport Drive Worcester, MA, 01602. The memorial service will be followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.
