Dear Lu and family,
It was with great sadness that I received the news of Bob's death. I was fortunate to have come to know him and work with him at Assumption where we served on the Board of Trustees together. One day he took me aside and made me promise to celebrate his funeral Mass --- which, of course, I gladly accepted, hardly imagining then that I would be stationed in Rome at the time of his passing. However, you can be assured that I will be praying for the repose of his soul and for your consolation. I know how proud he was of his children and you are living testimony to his legacy.

To Dr. Ouellette's family....My Uncle, Rev. Joseph Loiselle, would want me to offer you all his prayers and condolences at Bob's passing. Fr. Joe often spoke of their friendship and camaraderie. I am sure that they will take a moment or two to go over old times now, talk of Assumption College, both good and bad times that have been faced, and take solace in the arms of God. Peace and good things.
