Donna Marie (Broadard) Johnson

WORCESTER - Donna Marie (Broadard) Johnson, 45, of Worcester, died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Donna will be deeply missed, she is survived by her husband, Elgin T. Johnson, Sr, her son, Elgin T. Johnson, Jr; two daughters, Jillisa S. and Katrina M. Johnson, both of Worcester; her parents Chester and Georgianna (Baillargeon) Broadard of Worcester; her grandmother Ethel Broadard of Worcester; three sisters, Leeann Morgan and her husband Daniel of Worcester; Tracy Coore and her husband Rohan of Whitinsville; and Tiffany Lillie and her husband William of Fort Benning, GA; two grandchildren, Jayva Pierre and Queenalyn Johnson, many nieces and nephews.  She also leaves her loving friend Raphael Bonefont.  Donna was born in Worcester, she graduated from North High School and attended the former Burdett College in Worcester.

Donna was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her family and friends and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved her role as Grandma.  She had a vivacious personality. She leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that she was very proud of. Donna always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear.  Everyone always knew where you stood with her, she liked you or she didn’t, it was black and white.   She was her children’s glue, rock, hope, love, she was their other half.  Donna loved Hampton Beach vacations, as we all know she loved her music, and most of all her sweets.  All whom loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace, and undying love and caring for them. 

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.  Calling hours are Friday from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for donations to Donna’s Go Fund Me page.
