HUDSON, MA – Carol Ann (Prochaska) Morrell, 71, of Hudson, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Her husband of 30 years, Clinton David Morrell, died in 2000. Her son Matthew Morrell predeceased her in 2002. She is survived by her daughter Shannon Morrell McIntire of Hudson and her three children, Bryan, Samantha, and Madelyn. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Carol was the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Thelma E. (Kammerer) Prochaska. She leaves a brother, Stanley J. Prochaska and his wife Debbie Prochaska of Maryland and a niece Jessica Prochaska Eckley and her four children, Austin, Ava, Addison, and Alana of Maryland. She is also survived by cousins and their children.
Carol graduated from Johnston School of Practicing Nursing in Baltimore in 1968. She moved to Marlborough, MA in 1970.
She loved golfing, traveling, and being with her friends and family. She worked in group homes for the state for 17 years as a LPN with the mentally handicapped. Carol was always happy and positive. She will be deeply missed by friends and family.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at St. Michael’s Church, 23 Manning St in Hudson, followed by a gathering at Best Western Hotel, 181 Boston Post Road West in Marlborough. A burial service will be held Friday, January 17 at 12:30 pm at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, MA.
