WORCESTER – Ung Giang, 68, of Worcester, died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife, On Kim, two sons, Wilson and Nau Giang of Worcester, a daughter, Penny Giang and her husband Pablo Castrodad of Worceser, a brother and sister in Vietnam, four grandchildren, Mya Castrodad-Giang, Lily Castrodad-Giang, Camden Castrodad-Giang, and Xavier Castrodad-Giang, all of Worcester, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother in Vietnam. He was born in Soc Trang, Vietnam, son of Kim Top Giang and Siu Thach and has lived here since 1983.
Ung was an auto mechanic for an auto repair shop in Worcester. Ung fought for the United States during the Vietnam War. He went through many struggles to bring his family to America.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave and calling hours will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Cremation to immediately follow at All Faiths Crematory, 7 Island Rd, Worcester, MA.
