SHREWSBURY – Julia (Mosiejczuk) Sedares, 73, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at UMass Memorial – Lake Ave after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 41 years, George T. Sedares; a sister, Halina Michajlow of Worcester; a brother, Steve Mosiejczuk and his companion Carol Satterburg of Millbury; a sister-in-law, Marie Mosiejczuk of Worcester; many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. She is predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Nicholas Mosiejczuk. She was born in Łuck, Poland, daughter of Stephan and Eugenia (Torczuk) Mosiejczuk and has lived here since 1951.
Julia was a devout Orthodox Christian. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury. She worked as a clerk at the Westborough District Court and also as a bookkeeper at Sharfmans Jewelers in Worcester.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold St, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Monday, November 30, from 4-8 pm and Tuesday from 9-10 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. A Trisagion Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday.
