Joyce A. (Kilgar) Hanson

WORCESTER – Joyce A. (Kilgar) Morin Hanson, 80, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at home.

Her husband, Paul L.A. Hanson, died in July, 2014.  Her first husband, Felix Morin, died in 1960.  She leaves a son, Wayne Morin his fiancée Alexandra Albers of Worcester; three step-daughters, Caron, Ann and Janice; a step-son Paul and her nephew Chris Kilgar of Worcester.  She was predeceased by a brother, Weldon Kilgar.  She was born in Woodside, Nova Scotia, daughter of Francis and Vera (Alden) Kilgar and has lived in Worcester for many years.

Joyce worked at Holden Plastics and most recently as a clerk at the Big Y supermarket in Worcester, which she enjoyed very much.  She enjoyed camping at the Indian Ranch Campground in Webster.  She was an avid fan of the band Jack D’Johns and also loved the Red Sox and Patriots.

The funeral will be held Thursday, November 5 with an 11:00 am service at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.  Calling hours are Thursday, November 5 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
