WORCESTER —Jeremiah Leonard "Lennie" Munns, 95, of Worcester, died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Worcester Medical Center, 25 Oriol Drive.  

His long-time girlfriend, Millie Barry, died in 1999. He leaves a daughter, Maureen Harrison of South Carolina, a son David L Munns and his wife Annmarie of Plymouth; two sisters, Kate Murphy, and Pat Pooley, both of California; seven grandchildren, including Jared, Joshua, David, Laurie-Ann, Michelle, Taylor and Allen and many great-grandchildren; Millie's daughters Sheila and Kathy and her son Richard; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife Helen P. (Kearns) Munns, two brothers, William and Henry Munns, and a sister, Theresa Hunt. He was born in Boston, son of William F. and Catherine E. (Kirwan) Munns. He lived in Boston for many years and North Brookfield before moving to Worcester.  

Lennie was a bus driver for the MBTA for many years and a member of the Boston Carmen's Union. He was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran, serving as an aviation machinist. He was affectionately known as "Popeye" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren..  

Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, is in care of arrangements. Donations may be made to North Brookfield Sportsmen's Club, 20 Boynton Rd, North Brookfield, MA 01535.
