Jeannine (Boudreau) Letourneau

November 21, 1936 ~ December 7, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

WORCESTER – Jeannine (Boudreau) Letourneau, 81, of Worcester, was born into eternal life Thursday, December 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, other family and friends.

Jeannine was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, Arthur Joseph Letourneau.  She leaves three children, sons Edward G. Letourneau of Leominster, Andrew J. Letourneau and wife Patricia of Charlton, and daughter Michele L. Letourneau of Charlton.   She also leaves five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Her grandchildren include Jacqueline M. Letourneau of Worcester, Monica Letourneau Hall and husband Kevin of Charlton, Renee Letourneau Beaulieu and husband Rousty of Bolton, Andrew J. Letourneau, Jr. and wife Kelhan of Dudley, and Meghan L. Letourneau of Charlton.  Her great-grandchildren include Austin A. Hall and Jordan D. Hall of Charlton and Harper R. Beaulieu and Riley L. Beaulieu of Bolton.  Jeannine also leaves one sister, Geraldine Gauthier of Auburn and one sister-in-law, Joanne Boudreau of Worcester.  She was predeceased by her brother, George Boudreau of Worcester and two sisters, Georgette Sullivan of Cheraw, SC and Joline Hagerty of Worcester.  She is also predeceased by her parents, George Edward Boudreau from Coaticook, Quebec, Canada and Florence Marie Rose Jolin from Auburn, Maine.  Jeannine was born in Liverpool, ME on November 21, 1936.  She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.

Jeannine worked at Franklin Manor Restaurant during her high school years.  After high school she worked for the Vellumoid Company and then at the Worcester County Court House in the treasurer’s office.  She also maintained her part-time jobs at Franklin Manor and Friendly’s. 

In May of 1960 she married the love of her life and best friend, Arthur and worked by his side as co-owner of A.J. Letourneau Movers and A.J. Letourneau Disposal.  They worked hard together and also enjoyed traveling, dining out and dancing, and spending time building memories with their children and then grandchildren and friends.

Through the years Jeannine donated her time, treasure and talents to many charitable organizations, including St. Vincent de Paul at Notre Dame Church in Worcester and the Mary Martha Guild”s ladies group at St. Joseph’s Parish in Charlton.  At age 19 Jeannine became the youngest president of Union St. Jean Baptiste, Chapter 56.  She was also a member of the Charlton Red Hat Society and The Friends Thru Miniatures group who created miniature size dollhouses, furniture, etc. If you can imagine it, then she could make a miniature keepsake for you. Jeannine was a woman with great faith and believed anything was possible with God.  She completed the 33 days of Mercy and was committed to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. 

Jeannine was a devoted, loving mother.  She adored spending time with all her family and friends.  She especially loved doing crafts with them including painting ceramics when she was co-owner of J,J & J Ceramics. She enjoyed also teaching the lost arts of crocheting and embroidery to her grandchildren and many nieces.  She touched numerous lives through her laughter, generosity and loving nature.  She was a wonderful example of strength and trust in God and inspired hope in many people.  She will be dearly missed by so many, including her friends at Eddy’s Pond West where she has resided the previous few months.  She enjoyed the vast activities and participated in most of them.  She had a beautiful smile that she shared freely, she loved to laugh, joke, play cards and successfully encouraged others to recognize the blessings in their lives.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 9:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H Putnam Rd Extension, CHARLTON.  Please go directly to the church.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.  Calling hours are Friday, December 15 from 4 to 7 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Martha Guild at St. Joseph’s Parish, 10 H Putnam Rd Extension, Charlton, MA 01507.
