Chanel E. Broadard

WORCESTER- Chanel E. Broadard, 28, of Worcester, died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at UMass Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.  

She leaves her fiancé Joseph D. Bernard; three sons, José Suarez, Jayden Bernard, and Joseph Bernard; a daughter, Ava Bernard, all of Worcester; her father Steven Broadard and his fiancée Paula Bernard of Brimfield; a sister, Clarisa “Cloe” Broadard and nephew Elias Hickerson of Brimfield, a sister-in-law Jessica Murphy and her husband Andrew of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She also leaves her paternal grandmother, Ethel Broadard of Worcester. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Chester Broadard.  Chanel was born in Worcester, daughter of Steven M. and Wendy (Shea) Broadard.  She was currently enrolled as a nursing student at Quinsigamond Community College. Chanel was a hard working mom who dedicated her every minute to her children.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, November 6 at 12:30 PM at Hope Cemetery, Worcester.  Calling hours are Friday from 10 am – 12 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chanel Broadard Family Fund at https://www.gofundme.com/fh8um9qc.
