WORCESTER – Paul R. Gagnon, 91, of Worcester, formerly of Crystal Street, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Spring Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center, Chatham St.
He leaves several cousins, Catherine Davieau of Rhode Island, Lorraine DuFresne of Methuen, Pauline Clough of Groveland, and Raymond Dumas of Northborough. He is also survived by a friend, Ida Stone, and his caretaker Margos Stone. A cousin, Florence Davieau, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Philias J. and Louise (Hughes) Gagnon.
Paul was a bookkeeper for Alan Corporation, retiring in 1980. He previously worked at the Coronado Hotel on Franklin Street for 17 years. He was a former member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, the Preservation Society of Worcester, and Friends of the Worcester Public Library.
The funeral will be held Monday, February 27 from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, February 27 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home.
